Great news (for now!)

We’ve received word from the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation that the construction project at Queen Elizabeth Park, which would have affected access to the tennis courts, has been pushed back until at least Fall 2024 / Spring 2025.

The water reservoir on top of which the tennis courts are located is under the jurisdiction of Metro Vancouver, and not the City of Vancouver or the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation.

Signage at Queen Elizabeth Park will be updated by Metro Vancouver with the new dates of the project, but no timeline was provided for the change to the signage.

For now, it seems that the 2024 Spring and Summer seasons will be safe from being affected by the water reservoir maintenance.

Play on, everyone!
