Attention all tennis enthusiasts, players, and community members!

Our beloved Vancouver tennis community is in dire need of your support to expand and improve access to indoor tennis courts in the city. Tennis is a popular sport that brings people together, fosters physical activity, and builds social connections. However, the lack of indoor court space is hindering the growth and future of tennis in Vancouver.

The Vancouver Tennis Society has outlined a plan to increase the number of indoor courts in the city, and now they need your help. A petition has been created to garner support for this crucial initiative, and we need to reach at least 1,000 signatures to show the city just how important this issue is. With your help, we can make a difference.

The problem is clear: there is a significant shortage of indoor tennis courts in Vancouver. This shortage severely impacts novice and beginner players who want to continue developing their skills during the winter months. The current situation also hampers the growth of the sport and limits social connections among tennis players.

To address this issue, the Vancouver Tennis Society has proposed the following goals:

  1. Increase the number of indoor tennis courts in Vancouver to 50 by 2033.
  2. Encourage collaboration with the City of Vancouver, Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation, and private investors to fund and construct new indoor tennis facilities.

We can’t achieve these goals without your support. By signing the petition at https://chng.it/hrrxxqTDzK, you will be contributing to the growth of tennis in Vancouver and helping to create a more vibrant and active tennis community.

As of now, the petition has received 581 signatures, but we need to reach at least 1,000 signatures to make an impact. The Vancouver Tennis Society and North Shore Tennis Society will be meeting with the Chair of the Vancouver Park Board next Thursday, and your signature will help strengthen their case.

Let’s rally together for the future of tennis in Vancouver. Sign the petition today and share it with your friends, family, and fellow tennis enthusiasts. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that tennis remains a thriving and accessible sport for all Vancouverites.
