Dear tennis community and members,

The Vancouver Tennis Society has installed two tennis ball recycling bins at Queen Elizabeth Park, and one at Kitsilano Beach Tennis Courts in line with its Licensing Agreement with the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation.

Used tennis balls deposited in the bins will be donated to a variety of places such as: little league baseball teams, school districts, and dog care facilities.

We are grateful to Andy Sheng (pictured, on the right) for the concept design of the recycling bin. Thank you also to the City of Vancouver and Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation for licensing this project.

The goal for 2023 is to recycle 1,000 tennis balls. So get out there, play, and recycle your used tennis balls!

Thank you,
Nick Tchernikov
