Please read this section carefully before registering for or participating in any Vancouver Tennis Society (VTS) program, lesson, or activity.
The Vancouver Tennis Society is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants. However, please be aware that participation in any sport, including tennis, involves certain inherent risks, dangers, and hazards.
Assumption of Risk: By participating in any tennis lesson, program, or activity offered by the Vancouver Tennis Society, you acknowledge and accept that there are risks, dangers, and hazards associated with the sport of tennis and the facilities where these activities take place. These risks may include, but are not limited to, slips, trips, and falls; collisions with other participants, instructors, or equipment; and injuries from physical exertion, such as strains, sprains, fractures, or more serious injuries.
You voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with your participation.
Disclaimer of Liability: The Vancouver Tennis Society, along with its directors, officers, employees, instructors, and volunteers, will not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage you may suffer while participating in our programs, lessons, or activities, for any reason whatsoever.
This includes, but is not limited to, any injury, loss, or damage resulting from the negligence of the Vancouver Tennis Society or its representatives.
Participants’ Responsibilities: It is the responsibility of participants to ensure they are in good health and physical condition to participate in tennis. The participants are also responsible for following all instructions and rules provided by VTS instructors and staff to ensure their safety and the safety of others.

Notes:
– All VTS Tennis programs are led by TPA-certified coaches. Check the coach’s name on List of Certified Coaches on the Tennis Canada TPA website. (Note: Part of the TPA certification process includes earning a “Safe Sport” certificate, as well as a mandatory background check for working with children & vulnerable populations.)
