The Vancouver Tennis Society is entering a new chapter in its growth and leadership.

Effective August 31, 2025, the Vancouver Tennis Society’s founder and current President, Nick Tchernikov, will be stepping down from his role. He will continue to support the Society in a Past President capacity after this date.

The Board is pleased to announce that Saeed Rezvani, currently serving as Vice-President, will step in as Interim President on August 31, 2025 until a formal election is held for a new President.

A message from Nick Tchernikov:

“When I founded the Vancouver Tennis Society, my goal was to create a purpose-driven organization with a lasting impact on Vancouver’s tennis community. I also intended for it to thrive beyond my own involvement.

I believe that the founding vision has been fulfilled, and the Society is now in strong and capable hands. Effective August 31, 2025, I will be stepping down from the role of President. After this date, I will stay involved in the organization in a Past President capacity.

I have full confidence in the society’s current Vice-President, Saeed Rezvani, who will serve as Interim President until the Board holds an election to appoint a successor. The current Board is also filled with thoughtful, driven leaders who are ready to guide the next chapter of the Society.

Thank you to everyone involved for all of your important contributions and continued work. I look forward to seeing what the Vancouver Tennis Society will accomplish for tennis in Vancouver!”
